Hi, I'm Rachael
Certified SOEA Feminine Embodiment Coach. Somatic Educator.
Birth and Postnatal Doula. Trauma-Informed 500hr E-RYT Yoga Teacher.
My path into somatics and yoga began as a personal exploration, and a desire to heal after a shock trauma.
Through years of dedicated practice, study, and self-discovery, I've come to understand that the answers we seek already exist within us.
I've spent over a decade immersed in the world of somatics, learning from the people who occupy the very edge of this work. Back in 2016, after three years of training in somatic movement practices, I wrote my thesis on the changes that happen in the brain through deep engagement with somatics.
What I discovered was that a deep connection with the body improves the Core Response Network in the brain, and leads to fundamental changes in how we perceive the world around us.
Since then, I’ve continued my education with The School of Embodied Arts, The Somatic Institute for Women, and completed multiple programs with Dr. Stephen Porges of the Polyvagal Institute and Kimberly Ann Johnson (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner). Most recently, in early 2025, I began the three-year journey to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with Somatic Experiencing International.
In 2017, I founded Breath Body Earth Yoga School – an international yoga school that focuses on inclusivity, embodiment, and connection. My work weaves together the threads of yogic philosophy and western somatic practices as a way to access the pulsating Aliveness Within.
Coming into connection with the body leads to profound healing.
My clients say it best...
“Rach talks of accepting you in your wholeness, and doesn’t waver from this.
The deep acceptance I felt to show up as me — and for that to be fine, perfect, all that’s needed — allowed me to shift into accepting myself as I am, without thinking something has to be different.
The differences I’ve seen in myself over the past few months haven’t come from shaming myself, which Rach calls a “magic killer” but they’ve happened through the kindness and patience I’ve cultivated towards myself and my actions, and reflections I’ve taken to better understand why my responses have been certain ways.”

FAQs
What is Somatic Coaching? Somatic Coaching is a body centered therapeutic approach that integrates the mind and body to facilitate healing and transformation. It involves reconnecting with your body's sensations and experiences to release old patterns, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and presence.
What Happens in a Session? While story is important, in a typical session you will also be guided to explore your internal landscape through attuning to sensation. The focus is on creating a safe space to expand your capacity to be with your body's sensations, emotions, and inner narratives. Each session is tailored to your needs, supporting you in cultivating trust in your body's guidance. You will be introduced to different practices to support you in connecting to your body and expanding your capacity to be with sensation.
Who is This For? This work is for individuals who feel disconnected from their bodies, emotions, or inner wisdom. It's particularly supportive for those navigating transitions, seeking to release ingrained patterns, or desiring a more embodied and authentic way of living. It does not matter if you are new to somatic practices or have years of experience, this approach offers a compassionate space for all to explore the embodied self.
What do I mean by “ The Aliveness Within”? "The Aliveness Within" refers to the innate vitality and wisdom that resides in each of us. It's the spark that emerges when we fully inhabit our bodies and embrace our authentic selves. When we connect with the inner aliveness, we also connect with a deep and ancient part of ourselves that can hold us through challenging experiences. In the words of Buddhist nun Pema Choron: “Peace isn’t an experience free of challenges, free of rough and smooth, it’s an experience that’s expansive enough to include all that arises without feeling threatened.”
